What a great time photographing Lola & Ryan’s wedding. These two are so much in love you could feel the electricity throughout the gardens on the day of their wedding. It might have been the storm coming through the valley too! We lucked out on the weather. Lola & Ryan had photos taken prior to the ceremony which worked out to our advantage that day. I set up a special moment at one of the ponds below where Ryan was waiting for Lola with his back turned away. Lola walked down the rock stairway with two of her friends helping. Once they reached the area I was located her friends stayed behind while Lola proceeded towards Ryan with his back still turned. (I had goose bumps by this time). I could hear Lola’s friends sniffling, which got to me too. All 3 of us were crying tears of joy for these two as they were about to join their lives together in marriage. Lola reached Ryan and he turned around. Sparks flew. For several minutes the two of them had their private moment, admiring each other, stealing kisses and even some Eskimo kisses. Some tender moments were caught on film. The special moment between the two of them is something I know they’ll remember forever. The 3 of us watching were truly touched and moved by the love these two have for each other.
During the ceremony the wind kicked up, the storm clouds came through and they held off until the ceremony was finished. We ended up getting rained on and some hail even managed to hit the ground. Thankfully, Ohme Gardens had a covered area where we were able to take some photos. By the time we reached the reception, the weather cleared and the rest of the day was overcast light (perfect) with no wind or rain. One of my favorite moments is right before the cake was about to be cut Lola’s nephew walked up to the cake, eyes focused and his little finger went right into the corner for some frosting. Actually, to many favorite moments to mention. I’m blessed to have been a part of their amazing day!
